A view from the sky early 1900's

Here's an old aerial photo of our building from the early 1900's! That's us in the bottom left corner. Originally built as a malthouse for the Mundy Arms pub in 1871 and then used as a workshop for anyone who needed the space! It was a dried milk store for The Ministry of Food during the Second World War and then my Grandad Eric bought it in 1945 where he set up "Pollards" and built his engineering business which me and my husband Kev were still running in 2015 when we decided we had had enough and "opened a little coffee shop!" #thefactorykitchen #ilkeston #history #local #reluctantrestauranteurs #aerialphoto
